Download a HoundDog agent from your online DashBoard and simply drop it on your client’s server, remotely if you wish.

The agent is a very small piece of code that:

  • Runs on a Windows Service
  • Barely registers on the Task Manager in terms of memory usage and processor load
  • Doesn’t require .Net or other pre-requisites
  • Never interferes with any other program or monkeys about with the registry
  • Won't degrade your client's systems performance
  • Only uses small amounts of bandwidth - it's upload is just 2k in size
  • And never interferes with network performance - it uses outbound-only https so no firewall changes are necessary.

2. Configure the Step-by-Step Wizard in just 10 Minutes

At the completion of each monitoring cycle, the Agent uploads a small packet of information (typically less than 1k in size) via outbound https to HoundDog’s central servers. No in-bound communication occurs so there’s no need to open up your firewall.
