HoundDog Technology, the Dundee-based provider of easy, affordable Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools for IT support companies, has been shortlisted for Software Company of the Year at the 2008 Scottish Software Awards to be held in Glasgow at the end of November. The competition’s top accolade, this award recognises the company considered to be Scotland’s most impressive all-round software company. Chief Executive Doug Wilson said being shortlisted for the award for the second year running was a great achievement for the HoundDog team who has been working relentlessly during the year on developing the HoundDog system and growing the business. “This year we’ve been focused on developing our product, our organisational capabilities and our distribution network. We've grown in size from just six employees at the start of 2007 to over 30 now, with offices in Europe and North America. We've also invested heavily in our Dundee-based team, building a very capable systems development and marketing staff." “The net result is that we enjoyed another year of impressive growth, having doubled our revenues in the first half of the year alone, and increased our customer base from 850 to 1,500 leading IT Support companies around the world,” he added. "And while we're not out of the woods yet, it looks like our low-cost, pay-as-you-go pricing model might be the right choice for these troubled times.
