Dilemma of an IT Support Guy

A chance consultation with a Managing Director of an IT support company led to the research that underpins HoundDog. His words (with a little doggy spin for effect):

We researched current tools and found that they had been built for the internal IT manager - not IT support companies - and that they didn't meet his needs. They couldn't handle multiple companies, and they were far too expensive and difficult to set-up.

And they didn't deliver the key features that he needed as an IT support company - because they weren't built for him. They were built for the corporate guys. We decided to do something about it, had a eureka moment and spent three years developing a solution. Where We’re Headed

We listen to our customers and are continually developing HoundDog to provide them with the tools they need to deliver superior IT support. This year we are planning some exciting business developments including selling HoundDog into four additional countries, a move into a new market sector, and adding some new staff to the HoundDog team.

It’s All In The Name

So, why HoundDog? Well, stodgy and corporate is not really our style. And we couldn't agree on a suitable acronym-based name like IBM or SAP. So we did our research, asked around and soon realised that when it comes down to it, people like to have fun. And so HoundDog was born. He sniffs things, he has goofy sayings, he licks screens, and hopefully, he brings a smile to your face. Best of all, we get to use Benny as our mascot.
